A Holiday Cookie Treat

Today we have a special treat...literally. Joining us from her fab blog Cleanliness is Next to Godliness - is the lovely Emily! The other day I was searching for some unique Christmas cookie recipes and was only coming up with the standard ones over & over. So I contacted Emily and she came to my rescue!! She hunted down several recipes that are sure to add a little spice to your usual holiday cookie lineup! So I'll hand it over to the knowledgeable...

Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without cookies. New Year's Resolutions wouldn't exist, if it weren't for Christmas cookies.

People would not be giving presents, being merry, and having parties, if it weren't for Christmas cookies.

Where am I going with all of this? Christmas needs cookies. Santa needs cookies. I need cookies. The world needs cookies.

When my favorite gal Sarah of
Events by Sarah Elizabeth asked that I come up with a list of great Christmas cookies, how could I not jump with joy? I mean... Since Christmas needs cookies, Christmas needs Santa, and Santa needs cookies, I'm sort of unofficially helping Santa keep Christmas alive.

So, as you can see, it's a pretty big challenge, but I think I'm up for the task. As, I am forever indebted to Santa for my toy vacuum that I loved so dearly as a child (now if I could only get myself to go near a vacuum in adulthood).

Here is a list of great Christmas cookies (and some other treats!), from myself, and a list of other great food bloggers for your viewing pleasure and to do list.

Thank you Emily for sharing your holiday picks with us!!
